Commissioned by Midcoast High Winds Flute Choir in celebration of their 10th Anniversary,​ High Winds Fanfare draws inspiration from the playful nature of sea birds in flight. Diving, dancing, and at times seeming to hover in the coastal breeze, these magnificent creatures are a welcome sight along the coast of Maine.​
