Fernweh /ˈfɛʁnveː/ is a German term that roughly translates to “far-sickness.” It is the feeling of longing for a far-away place, perhaps even one you’ve never traveled to. As a piece, Fernweh exudes the feeling of something familiar, yet unknown; something old, yet new.
